Letter To Fellow Leaders in Clean Energy and Climate Action

Dear Fellow Leaders in Clean Energy and Climate Action,

As the Northeast Renewable Energy Coalition, we're reaching out today with both

hope and urgency. The path to a sustainable future lies before us, but we cannot

walk it alone. It's time for us to forge stronger partnerships between the renewable

energy sector and climate advocacy groups.

For too long, we've worked in parallel when we could be working together. Our

sector brings the technical expertise, infrastructure, and innovation needed to

transform our energy systems. Climate groups bring passionate advocacy, deep

community connections, and the ability to mobilize public support. Together, we

can create something far more powerful than the sum of our parts.

We're facing familiar challenges today – funding cuts, program cancellations, and

policy uncertainty. Many of us have weathered similar storms before. We

persevered then because we knew the profound importance of our work, and we'll

persevere now. Our collaborative spirit has always been our greatest strength in

difficult times.

The foundation we've built through existing partnerships helps us weather these

challenges, but we can make it stronger. Our sector brings technical expertise,

infrastructure, and innovation needed to transform our energy systems. Climate

groups bring passionate advocacy, deep community connections, and the ability

to mobilize public support. Together, we're already powerful – but we can be

transformative.

We see opportunities to:

• Build on successful joint initiatives to accelerate clean energy deployment at scale

• Strengthen our unified voice in policy discussion

• Expand innovative programs that make renewable energy accessible to all communities

• Deepen public engagement and support for the clean energy transition

• Create more sustainable jobs while ensuring an equitable energy future

way forward. To those looking to strengthen existing relationships or build new

ones – we're here to help connect you.

The challenges we face today remind us why we chose this path. Every solar panel

installed, every geothermal well drilled, every efficiency program launched

represents our shared commitment not just to our own generation, but to all who

follow. When we work together, these victories multiply.
